In the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Peter and I were in Seattle visiting for my cousin’s wedding. While we were there, we got the change to take Allie and Carson’s engagement photos!
We met Allie and Carson early morning at Pikes Place Market. We were greeted by the faint smell of fish, the hustle and bustle of the flower sellers making (stunning) spring bouquets, and a piano player jamming away on a public piano! It was the perfect way to start a day and an engagement session! We walked around the market and eventually ventured down to the Gum Wall in a little alley below the market! It was so cool and so gross all at the same time! The place was probably covered with Rona, but we were enjoying the empty space & Sadie — their super sweet pup — could sniff around to her hearts content!
After the market, we drove 30 minutes or so to Rattlesnake Lake and ventured into nature, where there were weirdly many more people than the market had! Nevertheless, the place was absolutely beautiful and we got some incredible shots!!
It was such a wonderful break from the Minnesota winter and our first adventure since Colorado this year! Unfortunately these two had to reschedule their wedding reception recently. They will have their ceremony this year with close family and have their reception next year! It’s probably for the best, but makes my heart so sad to see all my couples needing to reschedule :(
Here’s to hoping and praying COVID will be better by the fall!
