Intimate PAIKKA Wedding | Minneapolis Wedding Photographer | Michelle + Josh

Saturday, April 4th was supposed to be the day, Michelle and Josh said “I do” in front of their closest 150 family and friends at my new favorite Minnesota wedding venue: PAIKKA. Instead, they wedded up by in front of a webcam and live-streamed their ceremony to their immediate family. Michelle’s dad officiated, and two of their friends were present to be witnesses. This was not what Michelle & Josh had planned nor expected for their wedding day, but regardless of what happened in the world, they were going to be married!

Now this is what I call and adventure session! We (Peter, Jake, and I) did not know what we were getting ourselves into with the 5 mile trek to the Franklin Falls haha (Amanda did)! We couldn’t park at the normal trailhead, due to snowpack, so we had to drive back down the highway a few miles to exit 47. We parked on the side of a road and just started walking lol.

These two amazing souls got married last November at the Minneapolis Golf Club and it was such a FUN wedding!!! Some memorable moments include first look tears, a second pair of tux pants, and a flash mob…. yes a flash mob. It was amazing!!!

Annie and Joey are the kindest souls you will ever meet and it was such an honor to finish my wedding season last year with their November wedding! Cheers to the happy couple, may you never need to buy extra pants again!

What an amazing trip :) Not only did I kill it on the slopes (sort of) but I got to work with these two adventurous newlyweds and shoot their engagement session in Frisco, Colorado in the heart of winter and it did not disappoint.

We meet at a trailhead just outside of Frisco, and strolled through the beautiful pine trees and foothills, then headed to Sapphire Point Overlook on the way to Keystone for some breathtaking mountain views!

Kerbi and Phillip are finally married and I could not be happier :)

Fun Fact: I met Kerbi, — Kerbi Kerb we call her, in Florence, Italy when we studied abroad there in 2013. I am so so thankful I got to meet this wonderful human, and that she found her perfect human to spend the rest of her life with. Kerbi and Phillip belong together! I smile every time I think of them because they are just so freakin nice, thoughtful, and appreciative.

Miss Kerbi was also the most elegant and stunning bride I have ever seen. I just cant even!!! lol

Kerbi and Phillip had their ceremony and reception on the rooftop at El Fenix restaurant, downtown Dallas & it was magical. They got ready at The Statler Hotel, which was also a magical dream, but we hit a little bit of a snag trying to get permission to take photos on their rooftop. Peter ended up saving the day, by being his charming, resilient self and got us the red write bands that prove we have permission to shoot there. Needless to say, we had to get a photo.

One of my favorite parts about photographing weddings, is seeing all the joy and happiness everyone has. & The Cruz wedding had no shortage of love, happy tears, and laughter. I am so grateful I was able to capture those moments :) — this job never gets old!

Hannah was absolutely meant to capture beautiful moments. Hannah was our photographer for our engagement photos (April 2019) and wedding day (November 2019). She went above and beyond any expectations I had for these special moments. She puts so much care into the couples she is shooting and truly captures the happiness in every picture. Hannah and her husband work perfectly together. Her husband, Peter, was so kind and helpful on our wedding day, making sure Hannah was able to perform at her total best. I have been told by anyone who has seen our wedding photos that they are some of the best they have seen and I reply it is all because of the quality and care of the photographer. Best of 2019 Weddings

2019 was my busiest year to date, and Im not stopping anytime soon! I had so many new experiences, met so many new people, and made some new friends along the way! I shot 20 weddings, countless engagements, families, and seniors, and still found time to keep my full-time job, buy a house, welcome home a puppy, and hired some kick ass associates to join my squad. I learned a lot about myself this year and am so grateful for everything :)
