Minneapolis Golf Club Wedding | St. Louis Park, Minnesota | Annie + Joey
These two amazing souls got married last November at the Minneapolis Golf Club and it was such a FUN wedding!!! Some memorable moments include first look tears, a second pair of tux pants, and a flash mob…. yes a flash mob. It was amazing!!!
Annie and Joey are the kindest souls you will ever meet and it was such an honor to finish my wedding season last year with their November wedding! Cheers to the happy couple, may you never need to buy extra pants again!
Intimate Backyard Wedding | Brooklyn Park, MN | Janelle & Jordan
I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it a million more times, but Janelle and Jordan’s wedding was one of my favorites :) Their intimate backyard wedding was perfect! From the greenery chandeliers to the ceremony backdrop, her dad, Bob, slaving for days to make (delicious) cheesecake. Everything was thought out, simple, and elegant! It had me wishing we had a small backyard wedding ;) — though I regret nothing (except having the day last longer!) It was so much fun working with these two and all their friends and family. &&& working with my newest associate Sydney :) I’d do it all over again if I could!
Minneapolis Event Center | June Wedding | Hanna + Ben
The Minneapolis Event Center was absolutely stunning! I know Hanna was nervous about the construction going on nearby, but I overheard how impressed everyone was with the venue all night long, and it is definitely one of my favorites! The Wild Orchid’s floral arrangements were drop-dead gorgeous as well! Every little detail was perfect, from the arbor to the elevated greenery and garland at the head table! And Hannah’s bouquet, let me just say “Wow!” Melissa’s (MHEvents) planning of course brought everything together in effortless fashion. I honestly wonder if the wedding guests even knew Melissa was there, working her butt off! I suppose that the sign of a good wedding planner is that all the hard work that goes into the big day looks effortless! Everything about this day was perfect, sweet, and whimsical!
Snowy Winter Wedding| Lakeville, MN | Jordan + Mitch
Jordan and Mitch got married on the coldest day in November. (that might not be accurate, but it was quite nippy). Even though it was freezing, Jordan and Mitch were so cute and such troopers! We got into a good rhythm talking photos. We’d go out, take a few, then go inside and warm up, then go out again. It was actually perfect!! It started to snow during their ceremony, and I couldn’t wait to take them outside and get those whimsical snowy photos. Overall, it was a simple and stunning black and white wedding!

Walnut Woods Wedding | Kristy & Rogan Roosa
Kristy & Rogan are married!!
Leading up to Saturday, we were checking the weather ever hour on the hour. There was a 60% chance of rain from 12pm-6pm, the exact time that Kristy & Rogan had me booked for their wedding day. Needless to say we were a bit nervous because the wedding was all outdoors. Well guess what..?? It didn't rain :) Well okay, it rained a little bit, but just enough to use our cute umbrellas for a few photos.
Kristy and Rogan are emotional beings, and knowing that, they didn't want to say their vows in front of everyone at their ceremony, because well.. they wouldn't have been able to get their sweet words out. So they decided to say their vows after their first look on a small private beach in Walnut Woods State Park in Des Moines, Iowa.
Now, me also being an emotional being, it was hard for even me to keep it together for their vows!! Everything about it was so beautiful and intimate. It was exactly what they wanted it to be! Their whole wedding day was full of love, family and friends, and a laid back vibe that made everyone feel comfortable and full of love.
Kristy had asked her dad to make a wine box for their unity ceremony. What he delivered blew away everyone! He made this detailed and exquisite "box" equipped with wine glasses, a bottle of wine, shooters, a photo album that showed the making of their wine box, AND secret locking pins to lock the drawer they will keep their letters they wrote to each other in. It was the most careful creating of love I have ever seen, and Kristy's reaction says it all :)
Their ceremony was performed by their friend Tina, who did an absolute amazing job!!! There were laughs and there were tears, but in the end there was nothing but love.
We ended the night with a casual Champagne shower, which was absolutely epic!!! This must turn into a thing at every wedding :)
Kristy and Rogan are the sweetest people and were so much fun to work with. I know I say this every wedding or engagement shoot, but I really mean it: I have the best clients and I am so pumped that I got the chance to capture their special moments. I get such a rush shooting couples and capturing their love and telling their stories. :)
Until next time,
Hannah!
