There are so many Hanna(h)’s this season and I am not complaining :) This Hanna is wonderful and is the proud mama to Owen. The largest, most lovable golden retriever ever to live. It took an army to rein him in during our shoot, but I am so glad he joined us :) I met Hanna and Ben at Theodore Wirth Park in January and spent the afternoon eating’ treats (well Owen did) and taking some super cute pics!! Jordan and Mitch got married on the coldest day in November. (that might not be accurate, but it was quite nippy). Even though it was freezing, Jordan and Mitch were so cute and such troopers! We got into a good rhythm talking photos. We’d go out, take a few, then go inside and warm up, then go out again. It was actually perfect!! It started to snow during their ceremony, and I couldn’t wait to take them outside and get those whimsical snowy photos. Overall, it was a simple and stunning black and white wedding!
Kerbi and Phillip are the two sweetest humans to have ever walked this earth. This April, I flew down to Dallas, TX to shoot their engagement session at Arbor Hills Nature Preserve just north of Dallas. The morning of the shoot, I had driven up from Austin where half of our drive was through a torrential down pour. Needless to say we were a little worried we would get rained out. Besides a little mud here and there, it turned out to be a perfect setting for their spring engagement session!
This was my first in-home newborn session and it was such an incredible experience! Haddie is Lindsey and Bryant’s first nug and it was so much fun seeing my friends start their family! I initially told them it would be around a 1 hour session. I stayed for over 2 hours, mostly because this was a new experience for me (you can yell at couples what to do, but not really babies) but also because I just couldn’t stop! I wanted to capture every moment, every smile, every cry, yawn, and oopsy pee (twice. she peed twice. once on Bryant haha). This whole day was magical and I cant help but smile every time I think back to this session.
I met Sarah and Devin at Hyland Park on a 60 degree fall evening in October and nothing could have made this session more fun or more perfect! We hung out by the lake for a bit and cuddled on my go-to wool blanket, then made our way over to a beautiful hillside prairie filled with amazing light.

It was a beautiful day for an outdoor Mid-West wedding :) Katherine and Erik got married at the Beautiful Lily Springs Farm in Osceola, Wisconsin on a perfect summer day in September! They had an intimate ceremony and reception and enjoyed great food and drink from Eat for Equity and The Angry Minnow Brewery from Hayward, WI.
